The annual Excellence of Agriculture Education Award recognizes a Louisiana teacher for his/her achievements and efforts in teaching students the importance of agriculture.
The Matrix contextualizes national education standards in science, social studies, and nutrition education with relevant instructional resources linked to Common Core Standards.
Learn how to use Agriculture in the Classroom
Regularly scheduled fall workshops will resume September 2018. Until then, upon request, Ag in the Classroom will travel across the state to provide educators with resources and materials that integrate agriculture into existing curriculum. Lessons and activities aligned to Louisiana State Standards, hands-on activities, new resources and ideas are provided at these comprehensive workshops.
Schools and school districts may request a workshop customized to meet their needs. Workshops are provided free of charge. A minimum of 15 teachers per workshop is preferred. Contact AITC to discuss details and schedule a workshop at email@example.com.
