Louisiana Ag Week — March 17-21, 2025
Louisiana Ag Week celebrates the contributions of agriculture to our everyday lives. The goal of Louisiana Ag Week is to share how food and fiber products are produced, promote the essential role of agriculture in maintaining a strong economy, and appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products. Together, let's cultivate a deeper understanding, appreciation, and vibrant future for Louisiana agriculture.
Growing Artists Art Contest
Participate in Louisiana Ag Week by competing in an art contest. Express your unique perspective on agriculture through drawing or painting.
WHO?
Students who are currently in 3rd through 8th grade may submit artwork.
WHAT?
Create an original work of art inspired by the 2025 contest theme: Celebrate Louisiana Agriculture. Artwork must be on paper no larger than 9 x 12 inches. Canvases will not be accepted. Media may include markers, crayons, colored pencils, ink, watercolor, acrylic and/or tempera.
All entries must be original; artwork will become the property of Louisiana Farm Bureau/Louisiana Ag in the Classroom. One entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Copyright laws must be followed. Please note that copyright laws prohibit the use of cartoon characters or TV figures.
WHEN?
Entries must be postmarked by February 17, 2025.
HOW?
Original artwork should be mailed flat to:

Entries must include the following:
- original artwork
- official entry form and release signed by a parent/guardian
Note: Submissions will not be returned.
WHY?
Winners will be announced during Louisiana Ag Week. A panel of judges will decide the winners. Winning entries will be featured on the website and social media. Cash prizes will be awarded.
Awards:
One overall winner will be selected for 3rd-5th grades and one for 6th-8th grades; each overall winner will receive a $50 cash award. First ($30), second ($20), and third ($10) place winners from each grade level will receive cash awards.
